Qualifications

I am a fully certified Connecticut teacher. I am certified in Elementary K-6 Education, Special Education K-12, and Integrated Early Childhood Education and Special Education Birth to 3rd. I have taken all the PRAXIS Elementary examinations and a PRAXIS Special Education exam. Additionally, I have taken the CT Foundations of Reading exam. My scores on these exams can be provided upon request. I have worked with people of all abilities and would be happy to help you obtain your professional certification.

In terms of Elementary experience, I have worked with children of all abilities including those that have IEP’s and 504’s. I taught in a combination of 2nd and 3rd grade for a year and then taught 1st grade for two years after that. My favorite subject area to tutor in is math, but I am happy to help your child in any area! Another one of my favorite things to do is watch students understand concepts that they were once struggling with.

Additionally, I am a registered National Registry Emergency Technician and I have obtained my Firefighting I & Firefighting II certificates. I would love to help you obtain your certifications, so you can be out there making a difference in our communities too!

Subject Areas

Elementary Math, Elementary Reading, Elementary Writing, Elementary Science, Elementary Social Studies, Elementary Special Education, PRAXIS Elementary Teaching Certification Exams, CT Foundations of Reading Exams, Firefighting I & Firefighting II, and Emergency Medical Technician

Tutoring Options

One on One Tutoring Sessions: Each tutoring session is tailored to meet you or your child’s needs. Sessions are typically held in 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120 minute increments. For younger students, I would recommend picking one of the shorter session times such as 30, 45, or 60 minutes as I find them to be more effective because the child is really able to maintain their focus and engagement throughout the entirety of those session times.

Location

Sessions can either be held virtually or in-person depending on your location. Totally Pawsible is based in Litchfield County, Connecticut. For In-Person sessions Totally Pawsible currently serves Litchfield County, CT and parts of Hartford County, CT. In-Person sessions are required to add the appropriate in-person add on fee which is calculated based on your miles from Barkhamsted, CT.

Pricing

Please visit the Schedule Sessions page in order to see the pricing. Pricing varies based on time increments. Individual sessions are offered in 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 minute increments. The subscriptions offer a total of 240 minutes per month of tutoring services which you can schedule in 60 minute increments. If you get a monthly tutoring subscription, you’ll end up saving more money! Subscriptions will be renewed each month and an email will be sent to you 7 days prior to the renewal of it.
